DHA - Valley Regional Hospital is Hiring a Central Sterile Technician Near Claremont, NH

At Valley Regional Hospital, patients are the center of our coordinated care system and right now we have an opening for a Central Sterile Processing Technician to join our team. 
The primary responsibility of the Central Sterile Processing Technician is: 

  • Decontaminates and sterilizes instruments, medical supplies and equipment, and assembles, wraps, and sterilizes trays of instruments.
  • Follows proper standard precautions while in decontamination and sterilization areas.
  • Monitors biological and chemical wash solution to ensure quality and consistency for decontamination and sterilization areas.
  • Sorts mismatched sets of instruments, trays, and medical equipment and makes them available to sterile processing customers in a timely manner.
  • Restocks, labels, and maintains inventory, submits requisitions, collects and distributes instruments, trays, and medical equipment.

Ideal Candidate would have the following qualifications:

  • Associates Degree in related field preferred.
  • One to two years experience in a hospital setting preferred.
  • Ability to be a self-motivated learner, to take initiative in learning the many complex processes
  • Exhibits professionalism at all times, understands appropriate workplace behavior/communications.
