DH Griffin Wrecking inc is Hiring an Estimator Near Columbia, SC

D.H. Griffin Wrecking Co., Inc., is one of the leading demolition specialists in the country. Our Columbia Division has an opening for an experienced Estimator.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Effectively build and maintain relationships with clients, suppliers, and contractors.
  • Prepare work to be estimated by gathering proposals, blueprints, specifications and related documents.
  • Attend pre-bid meetings and site visits (some travel may be required) to familiarize yourself with the job site conditions and scope.
  • Review and comprehend project specifications and drawings.
  • Perform detailed takeoffs.
  • Identify approach, labor, equipment, materials, and time requirements for each specific project.
  • Compute cost by analyzing labor, equipment, materials, and time requirements for each specific project.
  • Prepare and submit detailed proposals.
  • Lead estimate turnover on successful bids.
  • Maintain and price change orders.
  • Accumulate, evaluate, and document historical cost data.
  • Analyze, manage, and mitigate risks by following standards set forth by OSHA and DHG’s EHS Program.
  • Contributes to team effort by performing and accomplishing related tasks as needed
  • Experience working in HCSS, Primavera and Excel.

Qualifications:

· Include at least 2 years of experience

· Bachelor’s Degree preferred in Construction Management or Construction Engineering.

· Time management and organizational skills.

· Excellent written & verbal communication skills.
