This is an integral position responsible for keeping all hydraulic, pneumatic and PLC driven machinery in good condition at our 40-employee factory.

With the direction and support of our VP of Engineering, the Maintenance Manager manages one technician who performs preventative maintenance, time-sensitive electrical and mechanical repairs, machine assembly, installation and troubleshooting of industrial machinery.

This is a hands-on job where you will not only direct the technician on what to do but also perform many of the tasks. You’ll work an 8-hour day shift, but can be called in on evenings and weekends to address major malfunctions and assist with projects (equipment installation, building modifications, etc.)

Position Overview

This position has responsibility for all day-to-day maintenance operations and food safety policy. The position contributes to production by achieving the plant's goals by achieving maximum machine uptime, by reducing cost, increasing productivity, and improving machine reliability.

Responsibilities

• PLC and HMI maintenance & trouble shooting
• Hydraulic & pneumatic trouble shooting, repair
• Blueprint & schematic reading/use
• Electrical experience – AC/DC power up to 460VAC
• Advanced welding skills is desired
• Ability to maintain machine functionality
• Work with precision & basic shop tools (hand tools, drills, lathes, & milling machine)
• Follow company maintenance program – scheduled maintenance tasks, daily inspections – annual task
• Work with contractors for special projects & advanced service calls
• Complete equipment & building maintenance upervision
• Able to plan and schedule major maintenance & capital projects for the plant
• Monitor safety guidelines & assist in training new employees LO/TO, forklift operation, etc.
• Assist in 3rd party inspections & audits
