The Opportunity: We are seeking a full time Producing Mortgage Sales Manager for the Tampa - St. Petersburg, FL area. In this role, the Producing Mortgage Sales Manager is responsible for creating, leading and managing the growth and profitability of a mortgage sales team. Work with business unit leaders and branch managers to drive efficiency and mortgage sales.

What You'll Do:

  • Identify, develop, and maintain a quality network of business relationships to serve as source of referrals for new mortgage lending opportunities.
  • Interview new and existing members to determine loan needs and advise of appropriate products, terms and pricing.
  • Generate complete mortgage applications, ensuring policies and procedures are followed.
  • Build a solid sales team that exceeds mortgage sales goals.
  • Oversee sales team's daily activities and drive each member toward expected goals.
  • Ensure sales pipeline remains full of qualified leads and prospects.
  • Manage pipeline for originated loans through closing, and complete required management reports.
  • Monitor compliance issues, including team member attendance at required meetings and training to maintain compliance with state and federal regulation.
  • Identify, assess, manage, monitor, and report risks of all types.
  • Resolve member inquiries and research problem loans.
  • Make decisions regarding exceptions to mortgage loan policy.
  • Interact with department management in organizing, planning and implementing sales goals and strategic direction.
  • Train loan officers in related work area.
  • Work with members, employees, and vendors in person and over the phone.
  • Supervise mortgage loan officers in assigned area.
  • Provide regular coaching and development opportunities for staff.
  • Travel between locations and to third party training may be required.

What You'll Need:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Five years mortgage sales experience; NMLS registration required.
  • Supervisory experience, including coaching and staff development.
  • In-depth knowledge of conventional, government, and portfolio guidelines.
  • Thorough knowledge of mortgage products, services, operations, federal lending regulations governing real estate lending, and market trends.
  • Working knowledge of FNMA-DU.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including effective verbal and written communication.
  • Consistent positive, cooperative, self-motivated, courteous and professional attitude.
