About the Position

Dexis Consulting Group is seeking a Project Associate to provide general project management, administrative, and business development support to the Center for Global Security and Stabilization (CGSS) and Conflict Violence Prevention (CVP) practice. CGSS helps Dexis operating units identify?upcoming trends, and shares Dexis expertise?through events, research, pilots, and other thought leadership activities.?CVP leads business development and projects in peacebuilding, conflict prevention, and related sectors. The Project Associate will support external communications (blog posts, event series, conferences), proposals, forward market strategy development, pilot activity management, and research in emerging markets.?The selected candidate will be expected to communicate clearly, possess exceptional writing and research skills, manage multiple competing priorities, and be a self-starter. This position can be remote or based at Dexis Headquarters in Arlington, VA.

Responsibilities

* Supports CGSS and CVP in research, administrative, and financial operations.

* Conducts background research and drafts reports based on findings in areas related to conflict prevention, security sector reform, peacebuilding, and other national security priorities, as needed.

* Research new business development opportunities in capture efforts.

* Leads social media engagement for Center's external events in coordination with Center staff and corporate communications.

* Facilitates CGSS and cross-division meetings.

* Maintains administrative, financial, and technical documents in Dexis knowledge management systems.

* Supports consultant management for proposal and project assignments including preparing and managing agreements, supporting travel and logistics, supporting mobilization and demobilization, and reviewing deliverables.

* Supports Dexis' business development efforts, including through desk research, external outreach, writing, editing, coordinating proposal teams, recruiting, and contributing to budget development.

* Other duties as assigned.

Required Experience and Qualifications

* Bachelor's degree in international relations, political science, history, or related field.

* 1-3 years of work experience in conflict and violence prevention, governance, international development, or relevant field.

* Exceptional prioritization, organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills.

* Demonstrated communication skills: strong writing, editing, and research skills, including the ability to engage with diverse audiences.

* Strong ability to multi-task, show attention to detail, and work independently.

* Ability to work under deadline pressure with diverse teams.

* Proficiency in all Microsoft Office products.

* Interest in global security, conflict prevention, and stabilization.

* Ability to travel internationally on short-term assignments.

Preferred Experience and Qualifications

* Prior experience/education in conflict prevention, security, governance, and stabilization.

* Prior experience in event planning and social media marketing.

* Professional fluency in a foreign language (French, Spanish, or Arabic preferred).
