Job Summary:

Dexian is seeking a Data Governance Analyst for an opportunity with a client located in Denver, CO.

Responsibilities:

• Lead data governance guidance and support efforts for business process and control owners
• Ability to understand business processes, risks, and controls and how to use data governance practices to ensure compliance to Enterprise Data Management policies
• Provide data governance and management support of critical data use in metrics and reporting
• Understand and support application owners adherence with global records management policy
• Work closely with data owners in the identification and documentation of business and technical metadata
• Ensure quality and integrity of metadata
• Identify data quality or policy adherence issues and escalate accordingly
• Manage data incidents through to remediation
• Creating/designing Visio diagrams and process flows

Requirements:

• 10 years in roles that demand critical thinking and problem solving
• 5 years' experience in roles requiring strong technical and analytical skills (not developer roles)
• 5 years' experience in data governance and/or metadata management
• Proven experience in pro-actively managing processes, routines, and deliverables (even with deliverables assigned to others)
• Must be able to work independently on initiatives with little oversight
• Must be motivated and willing to learn and be self-driven to ramp up and learn what is needed for the role
• Must have exceptionally strong written and verbal communication skills
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills are needed to gain cooperation from various stakeholders
• Strong ability to organize, prioritize, and dive into details without having to be told to
• Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
