Dewitt Building Construction is growing and looking to add new installation contractors to help grow our new market into Kitchens. These positions pay by job and are 1099-based. We provide as much work as you and/or your teams would like, year-round. Responsibilities:
Install various kitchen fixtures and appliances, including cabinets, countertops, sinks, faucets, and appliances such as refrigerators, ovens, and dishwashers.
Read and interpret kitchen design plans and blueprints to determine installation requirements.
Measure and cut materials to fit specifications, ensuring proper fit and alignment.
Assemble and install cabinets and countertops, ensuring they are securely fastened and level.
Install plumbing fixtures such as sinks and faucets, connecting them to water supply and drainage systems.
Install electrical appliances and outlets, ensuring they are properly wired and compliant with electrical codes.
Coordinate with other tradespeople, such as plumbers and electricians, to ensure proper connections and installations.
Test installed fixtures and appliances for functionality and address any issues or defects.
Maintain a clean and organized work area throughout the installation process.
Provide guidance and assistance to clients on proper use and maintenance of installed fixtures and appliances.
Qualifications:
Previous experience as a kitchen installer or in a related field, such as carpentry or construction.
Strong knowledge of kitchen fixtures, appliances, and installation techniques.
Ability to read and interpret kitchen design plans accurately.
Proficiency in using hand and power tools required for installations.
Understanding of plumbing and electrical systems related to kitchen installations.
Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Physical ability to lift and maneuver heavy fixtures and equipment.
Effective communication skills and ability to work well independently or as part of a team.
Relevant certifications or licenses may be required depending on local regulations.
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $90,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
