Shipping and Receiving Operator

About the Position:

The shipping and receiving clerk services the various areas of the warehouse and shipping/receiving dock. Duties include, but are not limited the following: o Frequent use of an overhead crane and forklift to move material around the warehouse. o Building boxes, operating a table saw, packing and banding crates for shipped material. o Loading and unloading trucks o Directing trucks as they back in o Warehousing inventory o Checking-in inventory o Understand, and follow work instructions and direction as given.

Individual and professional qualifications needed from an employee to fulfill the essential tasks. o Experience.
▪ Prior experience operating forklift is required.
▪ Prior experience operating overhead crane preferred, but not required. This is a job function that training will take place for.
▪ Prior experience in manufacturing/warehouse preferred, but not required. o Physical ability.
▪ Ability to stand for long periods of time, bend, lift and carry up to 30 lbs. o Skills:
▪ Basic math skills
▪ Attention to detail
▪ Organizational skills
▪ Read a tape measure
▪ Ability to work in a fast-paced, team environment.
▪ Ability to prioritize and multitask
▪ Ability to cooperate with work team
▪ Motivated individual who can work independently after required training.

This position is 40 hours a week, Monday – Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., with possible overtime associated after training program.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
