Description

Developmental Pathways (DP) is seeking a Power Platform Developer I in our Information Technology (IT) Department who will be responsible for the development, implementation, performance, integrity, and security of applications. This role will be involved in the planning and development of applications/solutions, as well as troubleshooting any issues on behalf of users. The Power Platform Developer will also ensure the user experience remains consistent across applications and in a form that suits the needs of end users. In addition, this role will be responsible for data security and recovery, ensuring all data is retrievable in an emergency, and documenting workflows and processes.
This will be a 40-hour week, hybrid position, working primarily remotely, and coming into our office in Aurora, CO, and/or other off-site locations, as needed.
Please note this is not a remote position, you must be in or willing to relocate to Colorado.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a computer-related field and three (3) years related experience, or
    • Associate’s degree in a computer-related field and four (4) to five (5) years related technical work experience, or
    • Six (6) years related technical work experience
  • 3 years of experience in developing business applications using the Microsoft Power Platform.
  • Strong UI design skills and the ability to create visually appealing interfaces that are easy to use and navigate
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, Transact-SQL, and database design
  • Excellent problem-solving, debugging, and testing skills
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
Preferred
  • Experience with scripting languages such as Python or PowerShell
  • Experience with RESTful APIs and web services
  • Experience with Azure DevOps
  • Microsoft PowerApps Dynamics 365 Developer certification

Qualifications


Additional Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and deploy business applications using the Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI)
  • Possess good UI design skills and create visually appealing interfaces that are easy to use and navigate
  • Configure and customize data models, forms, workflows, and reports to meet business needs.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards, including designing visuals and metrics, data visualization, and analytics to monitor business performance and identify areas for improvement
  • Develop and maintain SQL Server databases and T-SQL queries for data storage, retrieval, and manipulation
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to the Power Platform applications and SQL Server
  • Identify, develop, and deploy reports in Power BI & integrate Power BI Reports and dashboards into PowerApps
  • Gather and document user requirements and identify new features; translate business/user requirements into application design
  • Serve as a liaison to other agency departments and outside entities in a positive manner; able to effectively communicate and work with a large cross-section of stakeholders
  • Participate in database design to support application development projects
  • Analyze and troubleshoot query performance and take corrective actions to solve issues in real time, providing problem resolution end-to-end
  • Create, test, and debug complex T-SQL scripts, stored procedures, functions, and triggers to support application development
  • Participate in code reviews and tech design reviews
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation and user manuals
  • Develop security & compliance procedures to protect data from unauthorized usage, create best practices for application access and permissions
  • Keep up-to-date with new features and best practices in the Power Platform ecosystem
