Overview

Structured Credit Services (SCS) provides trustee, calculation agent, collateral administration, custodial, loan administration, and paying/transfer agent services on over 400 Special Purpose Vehicles both domestically and throughout Europe/Asia. As the SCS Team Leader, you will manage a client service team comprised of 12-18 staff. You must have a deep understanding of bank loans, Collateralized Loan Obligations (CLO), and other complex fixed income structures and you will provide oversight of day to day operational/client service activities while monitoring controls such as overdraft reports, annual reviews, and outstanding deal compliance. You will ensure teams follow all internal key operating procedures and provide support of business’ revenue, cost, and strategic goals. You will be responsible for motivating the team and coaching team members on business and system procedures and serve as the management escalation point for all client issues.

What You’ll Do

  • Organizational point of contact for approximately 25 client relationships

  • Ensure team is managing deals pursuant to the CLO Indenture

  • Communicate with underwriters, investment managers, rating agencies, and bondholders

  • Approval of financial transactions, oversee the production of monthly/quarterly investor reporting packages by team, and must have intimate knowledge of all issued repots

How You’ll Lead

  • Close interaction with Deutsche Bank senior management, operations, group audit, analytics, legal and other internal stakeholders

  • Supervise the work of each team member to ensure staff is following all internal key operating procedures

Skills You’ll Need

  • BA/BS, preferably in accounting, finance, business, or economics with relevant CLO bank loan experience and managing medium-size teams

  • Understanding of general accounting and financial reporting principles and general understanding of structured credit products

  • Competent in all MS Office products with advanced MS Excel abilities and comfortable with complex formulas and modeling techniques

  • Strong written/verbal communication and organizational skills

Skills That Will Help You Excel

  • Senior management – must be able to succinctly communicate with high level leaders within the organization

  • Clients – must understand the CLO transaction and be able to interact with investment managers and investors on the internal mechanics of a deal

  • Analytics/IT – must be able to identify operational bottleneck and work together with IT/analytics to develop and implement a solution

Expectations

It is the Bank’s expectation that employees hired into this role will work in the California or New York office in accordance with the Bank’s hybrid working model.

The salary range for this position in California and New York is $190,000 to $275,000. Actual salaries may be based on a number of factors including, but not limited to, a candidate’s skill set, experience, education, work location and other qualifications. Posted salary ranges do not include incentive compensation or any other type of renumeration.
