Detroit Public Safety Academy High School

We are seeking an Instructional Coach to work with our 12-person teaching staff. The coach would work alongside our Testing Director, Dean of Students, and other Administrators to help our teaching staff be as successful as possible.

Job Duties:

• Assist in the planning, implementing, and evaluation of instructional programs.
• Provide leadership in teaching techniques, innovation and class organization.
• Coordinate substitute teachers in the building
• Review weekly lesson plans and/or monthly unit plans and provide constructive feedback.
• Provide instructional support and continuous coaching feedback session to build teacher capacity.
• Leading the curriculum development process.

Qualifications:
Minimum Requirements

• Valid Michigan Teaching Certificate.
• Proven successful experience as a teacher.
• Effective use of technology, as a means of analyzing academic achievement data, and as a tool to aid in communications with stakeholders.
• Excellent verbal and written communication using proper grammar and vocabulary.
• Exemplary work habits verified by previous employers.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Citizenship, residency or work VISA in United States required

Pay: $52,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
