Job Description
The Journeyman Electrician will be responsible for installing and repairing complex electrical control, wiring, and lighting systems working from a technical blueprint.
Electrician Responsibilities:
· Installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical control, wiring, and lighting systems.
· Reading technical diagrams and blueprints.
· Performing general electrical maintenance.
· Inspecting transformers, circuit breakers, and other electrical components.
· Troubleshooting electrical issues using appropriate testing devices.
· Repairing and replacing equipment, electrical wiring, and fixtures.
· Following National Electrical Code state and local building regulations.
· Performing circuit breaker corrective maintenance Maintaining good knowledge of heating and air conditioning systems as well as various testing equipment.
Maintenance Responsibilities:
EQUIPMENT RELIABILITY Knowledge of Root Cause Analysis (RCA) when Manufacturing equipment fails.
Ability to schedule repairs and shutdowns Lead Manufacturing Engineering/Continuous improvement projects to improve yields, equipment performance and close compliance gaps working closely with the Process Engineer.
Technical Skills
Ensure that the installation, maintenance, service and repairs in the realms of electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, HVAC systems, fire alarm system, voice lines, data lines are planned and executed effectively and efficiently.
Qualifications
Must have a journeyman’s card or at least 5 years documented experience in skilled maintenance work
Must be able to lift, twist, bend, squat, climb, stand and walk continuously in confined surroundings
Must be able to lift maximum of 60 pounds
Must be able to read and understand blueprints, technical manuals and work instructions
Must be able to work independently with a minimum of direct supervision
Must be able to successful repair plant and office machinery
Must be familiar with minor industrial electrical work
Must be familiar with proper lock out/tag out procedures
Must be familiar with proper confined space procedures
Must be willing to work 5-6 days per week--when required
Must have a high school diploma
Continuing education regarding specific pieces of equipment or processes may be required
Electrician/Maintenance Requirements:
An electrician degree from a technical college and experience in the field working on simple and complex electrical systems is preferred to perform in this role.
Completion of electrician apprenticeship.
· Experience working as an electrician.
· High school diploma.
· Valid driver's license.
· Electrician degree from a technical college.
· Deep electrical system, power generation, blueprints maintenance, and repair knowledge.
· Experience in the renewable energy field.
