Job Summary

The Foreman is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the daily operations of the manufacturing facility. They play a crucial role in ensuring that production processes run safely, efficiently, meet quality standards, and maximize plant profitability.

The Foreman will assist in hiring, leading and supervising a team of Operators; and monitor production schedules to meet customer demand.

Key Responsibilities :

• Factory Build : Assist with initial factory layout, buildout, commissioning, and startup.
• Production Planning : Collaborate with the Regional Operations Manager to schedule production runs and ensure efficient resource allocation.
• Quality Control : Implement and enforce quality control standards to ensure the production of high-quality products.
• Equipment Maintenance : Ensure that machinery and equipment are properly maintained and serviced.
• Inventory Management : Monitor and manage inventory levels to minimize waste and ensure on-time deliveries.
• Process Improvement : Identify opportunities for process improvements, technology development & implementation, and profit maximization.
• Reporting : Generate reports on production metrics, such as output, downtime, and quality, and report to management.
• Safety : Ensure compliance with safety regulations and promote a culture of safety among staff. Investigate and report any safety incidents, implementing corrective actions.

Qualifications :

• 10 years experience in factory operations.
• Good with their hands. Handy and technical.
• Dedication to the mission of Determinant Materials.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Proven experience in manufacturing or production management.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of production processes, machinery, utilities, and auxiliary systems.
• Knowledge of safety processes and best practices.
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Proactive mindset, willing to take initiative.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
