Join us! he Director of Veterinary Services is responsible for leading a portfolio of dynamic veterinary centers to ensure consistent quality care and regulatory compliance married with high performance and productivity. Your role is to partner with the AVP of Field Operations and the District Directors to ensure our veterinary centers deliver on strategic initiatives while supporting the development of the veterinary professional staff including Veterinarian, Veterinary Technicians and the paraprofessional team. Consults with field leaders to ensure proper support is in place, providing Veterinary guidance when appropriate. Analyzes trends and metrics in partnership with Field Operations to recommend and support solutions, programs, and policies for veterinary initiatives. Maintains in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day Veterinary Operations, including reducing legal risks, and ensuring regulatory compliance associated with medical record documentation, controlled drug substances, maintaining VCPR, and other regulatory responsibilities as needed to ensure compliance. Responsible for ensuring licensing and credentials are current, up to date, displayed appropriately, and shared accordingly with our support partners. Consults with Field Operations Leaders and Human Resources to provide support in performance management guidance for medical professionals (e.g., coaching, counseling, career development, mentorship, disciplinary actions). Responsible for partnering with DD’s in partnership with Human Resources to conduct quarterly development reviews for Medical Directors. Works closely with Field Operations Leadership and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention. Identifies training needs for business units and individual executive coaching needs, and collaborates with Manager of Veterinary Learning and Continuing Education to create. Participates in evaluation and monitoring of Medical/Veterinary training programs to ensure success. Follows up to ensure training objectives are met. Performs other related duties as assigned.
