We are looking for a Credentialed Veterinary Technician to join Our Pack at Nebel Street Animal Hospital! For over 20 years, Nebel Street has provided quality, compassionate veterinary care to communities in the Washington metropolitan area. We are a full-service animal hospital, conveniently located in the heart of Rockville. 

REPORTS TO: Practice Manager

Pay: $22.00 - $28.00/HR - Depending on experience

Schedule: Full-Time

Veterinary Technician Job Responsibilities:

Credentialed Technicians perform a wide range of tasks while providing high quality patient care and excellent client service.

These activities include, but not limited to, determining animal requirements, conducting diagnostic procedures, surgical assisting an anesthesia, dental procedures, outpatient care, maintaining supplies and equipment, maintaining records.

Requirements

Veterinarian Tech License/Certification required (passed VTNE) from AVMA accredited school 

Experience in the following: 

Venipuncture, IV catheter placement, surgical prep, anesthetic monitoring, acupuncture, cold laser, and dental procedures

Physical Components:

• Must be able to work evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Must frequently lift 45 pounds.
• Must be able to be on feet for the duration of your shift. 
• Must be able to stand, walk and climb stairs frequently.
• Must have strong work ethic and be self-motivated.
• Must work well with a team
• Must be able to handle dogs on leashes.
• Must be able to work in an environment with exposure to disinfectant/sanitation chemicals, animal dander and excretions.
