We are currently looking for an Automotive Service Lot Attendant (Porter) to join our team and bring an outstanding consumer experience to the table.

Job Description

As an Automotive Service Lot Attendant-Porter, you will help ensure complete customer satisfaction by moving vehicles in and around the service area/lot, maintaining the cleanliness of vehicles and the service area, delivering vehicles to customers after service is complete, and transporting customers to/from their home when needed.

Responsibilities

• Drives vehicles to and from service areas and lot as needed.
• Installs protective coverings (seat covers, steering wheel covers, floor mats, etc.) and tags in all vehicles brought in for service.
• Services vehicles with gas, oil, and water.
• Washes and cleans vehicles as needed.
• Helps maintain lot appearance by cleaning driveway and sidewalks, removing snow and debris as necessary.
• Helps maintain shop cleanliness, including windows, doors, floors, etc.
• Dealer Trades.
• Transports customers to and from their home when needed and requested.
• Ensures that required documentation is complete and is in compliance with regulations and standards.
• Follows all safety and security procedures.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Pick-up and deliver parts as assigned, in the most efficient manner.
• Assist other Parts department employees with pulling orders for delivery.
• Assists the shipping and receiving clerk in checking in and stocking parts.
• Insures proper safety, care, and maintenance of company vehicles assigned to the Parts Department.
• Maintains driving record within company requirements.
• Maintains the fuel and maintenance log.
• May be required to lift 50 pounds or more.
• May be required to climb stairs frequently.
• Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Requirements

• No experience necessary. We are willing to train.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Valid New York State Driver's License with a clean driving record.
• Able to drive both automatic and standard-transmission vehicles.
• Able to safely operate motor vehicles in tight and small spaces.
• Highly professional and dependable.
• Excellent communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills, including the ability to maintain composure under stress.
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Basic computer and internet skills.
• Previous experience in a similar role a plus.
• Must be customer service oriented.
• Must be a team player with a strong sense of commitment to the customer and team members.
• Must be self-motivated with good written and verbal communication skills.
• Strive to respect and facilitate teamwork within all departments.
• Friendly with high energy and the willingness to go above and beyond.
• Willing to multi-task.

Pay from: $15.00 an hour

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Weekends as needed

Experience:

• Driving a Stick-Shift (Manual Transmission) Vehicle: 2 years (Preferred)
• Safe Driving: 1 year (Preferred)
• Working in a Team Environment: 1 year (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• New York State Driver License (Required)
