Full Time Medical Director - Veterinary Hospital, Hollywood, FL

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Medical Director to join our team at our veterinary hospital in Hollywood, FL. The ideal candidate will have a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM), Veterinarian, or Associate Veterinarian degree, relevant work experience. Our Medical Director will be responsible for providing medical leadership, conducting medical examinations, and overseeing all medical aspects of the hospital. This is a full-time position.

Responsibilities

• Provide medical leadership and direction to the team of veterinarians, veterinary technicians, and support staff
• Perform diagnosis and treatment of animals, including medical examinations, surgeries, and other procedures
• Monitor, diagnose, and treat medical conditions, diseases, and injuries of animals
• Educate fellow staff and clients on animal health, nutrition, and preventive healthcare
• Ensure that all medical records are properly documented, stored, and maintained
• Develop and implement hospital protocols and procedures
• Identify and provide care for animals in need of urgent medical attention
• Ensure that the hospital’s medical equipment and supplies are maintained in optimal condition
• Maintain open communication with clients, staff, and other medical professionals
• Perform administrative duties, such as managing medical records, preparing reports, and analyzing medical data

Requirements

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM), Veterinarian, or Associate Veterinarian degree
• Relevant work experience
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
• Knowledge of medical equipment and supplies
• Knowledge of animal health and nutrition
• Ability to work with a variety of animals
