We are seeking an experienced Associate Veterinarian to join our team in Shirley, NY. The Associate Veterinarian will be responsible for providing compassionate and personalized care to all patients, as well as diagnosing and treating a variety of medical conditions.

• Provide medical care and treatment to patients, including physical examinations, diagnosis, and medical procedures as needed. • Monitor and review patients’ medical charts and records to ensure accuracy and compliance with established protocols. • Prescribe medications, vaccines, and other treatments as needed. • Educate clients on proper pet care, including diet, nutrition, preventative health care, and other topics. • Maintain a clean and orderly work area. • Support staff members in daily operations as needed. • Maintain detailed and accurate medical records in accordance with laws and regulations. • Perform surgeries as needed and follow-up with postoperative care. • Respond to emergency situations as needed. • Participate in continuing education courses and other professional development opportunities.

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited college or university. • 0-10 years of work experience as an Associate Veterinarian. • Knowledge of veterinary medical principles and techniques as well as animal anatomy and physiology. • Ability to work with a variety of animals, including small and large animals. • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. • Ability to remain calm and professional in stressful situations. • Self-motivated, organized, and detail-oriented. • Ability to work independently and as part of a team. • Current license to practice veterinary medicine in NY. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and other relevant computer software.
