We are looking for a Communications Specialist to join our enterprise tech client’s Corporate Communication team.

Onsite: hybrid/onsite as needed

Redmond, Washington

This is a contract role and part time hours.

Would you like to…

Looking for an experienced public relations professional who can support a broad range of internal and external requests. The ideal candidate will be a critical thinker and problem solver, able to spot gaps in communication materials. Reporting to our corporate communication team, this individual will serve as a liaison with various teams to align communication efforts across teams while ensuring employees feel supported as their workplace evolves.

Candidates submitted with a portfolio or writing samples will be preferred. The best portfolio/writing samples will contain comms materials supporting major milestones for a business audience both internal and external.

Overall hoping to find someone savvy in setting up internal policies and with an understanding of how they might be seen externally. Previous experience supporting real estate communications, supporting comms for CBRE or similar commercial/enterprise real estate services, or someone who managed all regional comms (sports arena, port/airport/etc.,) would be a big plus!

  • Client services: Support alignment calls, project update discussions, email response, etc. with the ability to recognize corporate communications review and/or participation.
  • Maintenance of a central deliverable tracker and cadence of communication activations through project completion.
  • Alignment calls with stakeholder groups - including Corporate Communications teams, Policy/Government Affairs teams and internal/employee to ensure message congruence.
  • Participate in collaborative reviews of comms materials supporting major milestones - includes emails, MSW, Yammer, and others.
  • Media relations: Leverage your understanding of the media landscape to ensure statements, spokespeople, internal mails, etc. are aligned to pre-approved key messaging.
  • Maintain pre-approved narratives and external resources, updating across projects and as business priorities or external storylines shift.
  • Collaborate with corp communications lead and portfolio managers to ensure response accuracy in crisis or reactive communications.
  • Insert relevant project details into team requests that further key initiatives – hybrid work, sustainability, etc.
  • Review change management and internal employee comms.
  • Review filming requests and connect to the right leads/teams to ensure appropriate level of visibility and use of facilities.
  • Ensure awareness of messaging and materials across the company, agencies, and other teams.
  • Copywriting: Review of materials, statements, publicly submitted materials, etc. through the lens of brand voice and reputation management.
  • Write with clarity, conciseness, and accuracy in grammar.

We would like you to have…

  • Required
  • 8 years with Public Relations, Corporate Communications, Issues Management, PR Agency, or equivalent experience.
  • 8 years in client services industry or equivalent experience.
  • Preferred
  • Exceptional project management skills, with heightened attention to detail.
  • Experience working with and supporting senior stakeholders.
  • Expertise with corporate reputation and/or issues management communications.
  • Familiar with Microsoft’s products, services, culture, and values.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Familiar with an office environment and basic skills using Outlook, Power Point, Excel.

Compensation Range: $50-$55/hr.

This compensation range is indicative of the role. Compensation offered is on the basis of evaluation during interview process, the candidates range and depth of experience, business and market financials and internal pay parity.
