REPORTS TO: Metal Shop Leader
The Sheet Metal Fabricator is an instrumental part of a busy fabrication shop and assist with projects within their area.
- Use of tools such as: Press Break, CNC punch, Cold Saws, Press Break, Drill Press, and Shear
- Work as part of team to ensure projects are completed on-time and within budget
- Communicate effectively with team members and other staff members
- Behave Ethically; Understand ethical behavior and business practices and ensure that their own behavior is consistent with these standards and aligns with the values of the organization
- Communicate Effectively; Speak and listen in an appropriate and effective communication tools and techniques
- Foster Teamwork; Work cooperatively and effectively with others to set goals, resolve problems and make decisions that achieve the desired project outcome
- Lead; Take full ownership of the Metal Shop responsibilities assigned
- Make Decisions; Assess situations to determine the importance, urgency and risk and work with senior team members to ensure situations are handled appropriately
- Organize; Perform all work in a timely manner prioritizing as appropriate
- Plan; Work smart and efficiently
- Solve Problems; Assess problem situations to identify causes, gather and process relevant information, generate possible solutions and make recommendations
Required
- Experience with Press Break
- Experience with Metal Shear
- Desire to learn
- Proficient math skills
- Proficient communication skills
- Experience with CNC Punch and other shop tools
