Description

We are currently looking for 2 Branch Operations Interns to join our team this summer. As a Branch Operations Intern, you will work with and learn from our team members in various departments such as Operations, Warranty, Purchasing, Engineering and Sales. This internship will provide valuable work experience as well as exposure in the HVAC industry with the potential for a full-time opportunity post-graduation. 

What you'll do

• Pull orders accurately as assigned for daily deliveries using an RF scanner
• Stage orders according to truck location and verify the accuracy of pallets, products, etc.
• Recognize damaged product at any point in the process and take appropriate action
• Manage inventory with cycle counts and research discrepancies
• May use power equipment including but not limited to forklift, hand tools, etc.
• Answer phone calls or emails from customers and create orders
• Track warranty items and process credits 
• Order entry in Prophet 21
• Job shadow team members with varying levels of experience

Requirements

What we're looking for

• Pursing a degree – Associate or Bachelor
• Related degree preferred
• High attention to detail and excellent math skills 
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to follow direction and safe operating procedures 
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis without assistance (weight varies based on product)
• Ability to be trained to use forklifts and other warehouse machinery
• Some experience in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Willingness to work on feet/walk for extended periods of time
