is currently seeking an Ophthalmic Technician to join their team in Sun City West & Peoria, Arizona (85381).

was established in 1976. Ophthalmologists Dr. Ofer Eytan joined the practice in 1996 and Dr. Anne Zaki joined the practice in 2016 and Optometrist Jeslyn Vayalil joined in 2021. Over the years, their enthusiasm and commitment to providing the highest quality of eye care, in a truly personal way to their patients, has created a friendly environment and has characterized our office.

About the Job:
In the Ophthalmic Technician role, you will welcome the patients and prepare them before they see their doctors. A key element in performing this role is to multitask so you can accomplish all clerical tasks promptly.

Salary:
$17.00 - $20.00
Shift: 7.30 AM – 4.30 PM (Monday-Friday) & Thursday 6.30 AM – 4.30 PM

Job Duties:
  • Greets patients and visitors with a positive and comforting manner.
  • Responsible for preparing the patient for the exam with the doctor.
  • You'll gather important medical information from the patient, perform preliminary tests, and gather measurements while providing highest quality of care and an exceptional patient experience.
  • Preliminary Testing includes: Testing vision, eye pressures, refractions, AR, OCT, Corneal Topography’s, Visual Field, Visual acuity, auto refraction, manual refraction, IOP’s (eye pressures) by Goldmann and Tonopen, Color Plates, OCT’s and Visual Fields.
  • Set up in office procedures include: Superficial Keratectomy, TearCare, Conjunctival Cautery, Punctual Cautery, Papilloma biopsy/ removal.
  • Keeps doctors’ rooms filled to ensure clinic patient flow.
  • Maintains exam rooms, including cleaning/sterilization as necessary, stocking drops and samples.
  • Answer/return patient messages and voicemails.
  • Triage patient symptoms.
  • Prescription refills.
Education and Experience:
  • High School Diploma.
  • At least 6 months of experience being a receptionist at a medical facility.
  • Lenstar/ Varion measurements is a plus.
  • Background in the healthcare sector
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Exceptional multitasking and time management skills
  • Nextech experience is a plus.
