Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Preschool Academic Teacher & Program Director to lead and develop a preschool academic program within a dance studio setting. The ideal candidate will possess a solid background in early childhood education, curriculum development, and program management. They will be responsible for designing and delivering engaging academic lessons tailored for preschool-aged children while overseeing the overall development and success of the preschool academic program.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement a well-rounded academic curriculum that aligns with early childhood learning standards and promotes cognitive, social, and emotional development.
• Teach daily academic lessons incorporating literacy, numeracy, science, and arts integration in a hands-on and interactive manner.
• Create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment where children feel empowered to explore, inquire, and learn.
• Collaborate with parents/guardians to provide regular updates on children's progress and educational goals.
• Recruit, train, and mentor assistant teachers or teaching assistants for the preschool academic program.
• Work closely with studio management to promote and expand the preschool academic program through marketing efforts and community engagement.
• Manage administrative tasks related to the preschool academic program, including enrollment, scheduling, and record-keeping.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience teaching academics to preschool-aged children.
• Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, or related field preferred.
• Strong knowledge of early childhood development and best practices in early childhood education.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with young children and their families.
• Experience in curriculum development, lesson planning, and educational assessment.
• Ability to lead and motivate a team of educators to achieve program goals.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 6 – 15 per week
