Descon is an established company that designs, develops, manufacturers, and sells a variety of signs and graphics solutions for use primarily in school environments. This growing company is seeking a hard working person to assist in every aspect of our manufacturing process. This process includes printing, graphics application, cutting, sign construction, packaging, and installation/hanging of our signs and graphics. Our products are custom made and have to fit unique situations at individual schools, so some trades experience is ideal as is a desire to do high quality problem solving. This is a full-time salaried position.

JOB DUTIES – Will vary day to day

• In-shop: Setup and operation of equipment including printers, laminator, CNC router.
• In-shop: Application of graphics to signs.
• In-shop: Production and construction of products with the use of power and hand tools and X-acto knives.
• On-site at customer: Hanging of signs, usually at various heights on ladders.
• On-site at customer: Installation of graphics to multiple types of surfaces.
• General: Staging of products, lifting, carrying, loading and unloading of materials, packaging of products.
• General: Other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Valid Driver’s License
• Clean background check and drug screening
• Average computer skills (office and machine software)
• Basic knowledge of general construction techniques and working knowledge of most power and hand tools. Construction or trades experience is preferred but not required.
• Professional attitude and appearance
• Willingness for some day and overnight travel (approximately 20-25 overnights per year)
• Hours may vary and can go beyond 8 hours per day when traveling. Normal work schedule is 7:30 to 4:30 M-F
• Extra hours are possible and expected during certain busy periods (mostly summer)
• Detail oriented and able to work under tight deadlines.
• Team player with excellent customer service orientation and ability to interact with all types of customers.
