Des Moines Independent Community School District is Hiring a Speech Language Pathologist Near Des Moines, IA

Des Moines Public Schools is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist for the 2024-2025 school year.
Job Summary:
The speech-language pathologist provides educational services to students with communication disorders. In addition to providing speech-language services, they may serve as service coordinator to children and families when deemed appropriate.

Successful candidates for this position will possess:
Master’s Degree in Speech Language Pathology
Iowa Statement of Professional Recognition or Professional Service License
Iowa Department of Public Health Licensure (SLP)
American Speech-Language-Hearing Association’s Certificate of Clinical Competence or actively pursuing (to be obtained within 2 years of hire)
Position Details:
Contract days vary by assignment
7.75 hours
Salary schedule attached
 Candidates offered employment will be compensated based on skills, work experience and education.

  1. Single and Family Health Insurance at no cost to the employee during the first plan year of employment (July 1 - June 30). Premium cost is $600/year after that.
