Are you a detail-oriented individual with experience in healthcare administration? We're looking for a dedicated Medical Receptionist to join our thriving dermatology practice. As the first point of contact for our patients, you'll play a crucial role in providing exceptional customer service, managing administrative tasks, and ensuring smooth operations in our office.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Patient Interaction: Greet patients warmly, answer phone calls promptly, and provide friendly and professional assistance to patients both in person and over the phone.
  • Appointment Scheduling: Efficiently schedule patient appointments, utilizing scheduling software and coordinating with dermatologists' calendars to optimize clinic efficiency.
  • Insurance Coordination: Verify patient insurance information, process insurance claims, and provide guidance to patients regarding insurance coverage and billing inquiries.
  • Referral Management: Facilitate the referral process by obtaining necessary authorizations, coordinating referrals to specialists, and ensuring all documentation is complete and accurate.

Requirements:

  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience as a medical receptionist or in a similar administrative role, preferably in a dermatology or medical setting.
  • Insurance Knowledge: Proficiency in insurance verification, billing procedures, and handling insurance-related inquiries.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with patients, colleagues, and insurance providers.
  • Organizational Skills: Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Customer Service: A customer-centric approach with a commitment to providing exceptional service to patients and visitors.
