Dermatology Associates, LC is Hiring a Medical Coder Near Portland, ME

Dermatology Associates is looking for a capable medical coder to help us code medical documentation for insurance claims and to ensure that medical policies and guidelines are followed.

Medical coder duties and responsibilities:

· Provide high quality and timely coding of diagnoses and procedures for our office

· Examining documents for information that is missing

· Clarifying information with the physicians

· Making sure CPT and ICD-10 codes are assigned

· Conducting chart audits

· Providing medical coding advice and training to physicians and staff

· Following up and clarifying any information that is not clear to other staff members

Medical Coder Requirements:

· Working as medical coder for at least two years.

· Certification from the American Academy of Professional Coders (AAPC)

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills

· Strong interpersonal skills

· Outstanding ability to organize

· Ability to keep confidential information confidential

Job Type: Full-time
