Our Intermodal Trucking Company is looking for an experienced intermodal dispatcher to add to our growing operations. Experience in both rail and import/export dispatch is a plus. Applicants must be self-motivated, organized, and able to work in a fast-paced industry. This potion is vital for ensuring that contract drivers are dispatched to pick up containers in a timely manner.

Our ideal candidate can multi-task and accurately recall information. This person must be able to carefully plan and adapt to changes quickly. The ability to remember the type of equipment used, drivers' destinations and length of time to complete moves is necessary.

Job Responsibilities include:

• Enter customer order in dispatch software
• Schedule pickup and delivery appointments, including advance scheduling
• Track and trace equipment on railroads
• Driver dispatch and checkup calls per load
• Rail billing
• Customer service, including accurately executing customer instructions
• Manage chassis rental, per diem, and other potential charges
• Real time input of pickup and delivery information in dispatch software
• Search load boards for van or rail freight when needed
• Familiar with Baton Rouge port system entry
• Other duties as assigned

Skills and Education Requirements:

• 3 years experience in intermodal dispatching required
• High School diploma required, some college-level coursework a plus
• Ability to communicate respectfully and have positive manner
• Computer literate- with intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office products
