Summary:

The Housekeeping & Laundry Supervisor is responsible for all functions of the housekeeping department, including supervision of other housekeeping aides. The Housekeeping & Laundry Supervisor will set the schedule for the other housekeeping aides and will ensure all housekeeping aides are performing up to Deployed Services standards. The Housekeeping & Laundry Supervisor is required to fill in when other housekeeping aides are absent.

 Essential Functions:

• Manage day-to-day staffing requirements, plan, and assign work, establish performance and development goals for team members
• Provide mentoring, coaching, and regular feedback to help manage conflict and improve team member performance 
• Educate and train all team members in compliance with federal, state, and local laws and safety regulations 
• Ensure staff is properly trained and has the tools and equipment to carry out job duties 
• Train housekeeping aides on cleaning and maintenance tasks
• Oversee staff daily
• Establish and educate staff on cleanliness, tidiness, and hygiene standards
• Motivate team members and resolve any issues that occur on the job
• Monitor and replenish cleaning products; help maintain an accurate inventory of all linens
• Ensure compliance with safety and sanitation policies in all areas; Ensure PPE compliance among employees, recommend corrective action or preventative measures where indicated appropriate 
• Maintain cleanliness of the facility, as needed 
  • Dust and mop facility, including floor, walls, and lights
  • Vacuum all carpeted areas
  • Wipe and sanitize all surfaces 
  • Empty trash and replace liners; transport to dumpsters or outbound transfer areas
• Clean and disinfect areas throughout the facility, such as:
  • Toilets
  • Sinks
  • Door handles
  • Glass doors
  • Walls
  • Flooring
  • Other areas, as needed
• Seek cost savings in daily operations
• Other duties as assigned

Knowledge and Skills:

• Proven proficiency in housekeeping operations
• Ability to troubleshoot systems and identify and correct problems
• Must have knowledge of state and federal regulations as it pertains to safety standards
• Familiar with OSHA standards for hazardous chemicals
• Great organizational skills 
• Ability to work flexible hours. We operate 24/7/365

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma (or equivalent) required
• Associates degree, preferred 
• Two years housekeeping and/or janitorial experience, required
• 1 years in a supervisory role, required 
• Bilingual in English and Spanish, requirement
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
• Must be able to travel within the Continental United States (CONUS)
• Must pass a drug test, motor vehicle record check, and background check after accepting a conditional offer of employment
