• Monday 2pm-10pm
• Tuesday 9am-9pm *could be 2pm-9pm
• Wednesday 2pm-10pm
• Thursday 2pm-10pm
• Friday 2pm-6pm

Location: St. Paul, MN (Highland area)

Rate of Pay $17/hour

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Direct Support professionals (DSP's) work with individuals with disabilities to help them gain skills and more independence in areas such as communication, cooking, housekeeping, budgeting, personal safety, health, and recreation.

This role would be working with 2 females living together in an apartment in St. Paul. They both enjoy activities including crafts, creative activities, bowling, and participating in Friendship Club. One of the ladies has a sweet hypoallergenic dog that staff will take on walks with the individual, dog lovers are a must! 

The role will include planning and coordinating activities for the ladies, proving transportation to activities, including running errands. Staff will also help with meal planning and cooking, light cleaning, and overall engagement with the ladies.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 1 year of relevant work experience
• Driver's License, car insurance, reliable vehicle for work purposes
• Ability to read, write and speak English at a level that meets the performance requirements; or must be able to communicate in the language spoken by the individual at a level that meets the performance requirements; whichever is deemed more important by the company
• Ability to meet licensing requirements of the state and county
• Lifting/transferring requirements vary based on assigned caseload. Ability to lift 75 pounds and transfer individuals as needed
• May be exposed to animals, including but not limited to dogs, cats, pet rodents, birds or pet reptiles
