DUTIES

• You will operate forklifts, farm and garden tractors, industrial tractors with front end buck loaders, and basin vacuum cleaners, snow blowers, etc.
• You will operate chain saws, pavement rollers, power tampers and tractors to haul equipment and material.
• You will be responsible for making numerous equipment adjustments and performing maintenance on tractor and ground equipment, such as checking and replenishing fluids, examining and changing filters, changing and sharpening blades, lubricating equipment and making necessary adjustments.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED FOR EACH LEVEL:

The ability to do work of a Tractor Operator without more than normal supervision as demonstrated by

1) Performing tractor operating tasks such as starting, stopping, and maneuvering the tractor and industrial equipment according to directions.

2) Judging clearances, heights, and turning angles of the tractor and towed vehicles to maneuver under or around obstructions.

3) Operating equipment by following established safety rules and operating procedures.
