Department Of Defense is Hiring a Visual Information Specialist (Social Media Manager) with Security Clearance Near Fort Belvoir, VA

Duties * Serves as social media manager and creative project producer/advisor of visual information items in support of U.S. Army Intelligence and Security Command (INSCOM) and its major subordinate commands (MSC). * Demonstrates extensive range of subject matter expertise, artistic skill, and design ability in the execution and formatting of visual material. * Applies the tools and methods of computer graphics technology to maximize the quality, efficiency, speed, and cost effectiveness of visual information creation, automation, and transfer to viable end products.26 * Advises, coordinates, provides guidance to customers to interpret work requests Coordinates with customers submitting visual information photo/graphics work orders to ensure the most efficient - cost-effective methods of satisfying customer needs. Requirements Conditions of Employment * Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation. * Two year trial/probationary period may be required. * In accordance with Change 3 to AR 600-85, Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Program, individual must successfully pass a urinalysis screening for illegal drug use prior to appointment and periodically thereafter. * Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top-Secret security clearance based on a Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) with eligibility for access to sensitive compartmented information (SCI). * Temporary Duty (TDY) travel will be required up to 25% of the time. * All INSCOM employees may be subject to extended TDY or worldwide deployments during crisis situations to perform mission essential functions as determined by management. OR Education: Ph.D or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to perform the work of the position, such as commercial art, fine arts, art history, industrial design, architecture, drafting, interior design, photography, visual communication, or other fields related to the position. (Note: You must attach a copy of your transcripts.) OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. (To compute the percentage, divide your total months of qualifying experience by 12. Then, divide your semester hours of graduate education beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages.
