Department of the Army is Hiring a Logistics Management Specialist with Security Clearance Near Arlington, VA

Duties * Manages the capabilities that will be released into production. * Conducts appropriate cost analyses to validate the product support strategy, including cost-benefit analyses as outlined in Office of Management and Budget Circular No. A-94. * Applies principles to analyze situations, identify problems, probe causes, and select courses of action for technical and functional specialists to pursue. * Establishes goals, objectives, programs, and general guidance for operations subject only to the framework of laws, regulations, and policies of the agency. Requirements Conditions of Employment * This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required. * This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 20% of the time. * This is an Army Acquisition, Logistics and Technology Workforce position. Selectee must meet position requirements for Life Cycle Logistics Certification within 36 months of entrance on duty. * A one-year probationary periods may be required. * This position requires submission of a Financial Disclosure Statement, OGE-450, upon entering the position and annually thereafter. The following course and time requirements apply to this position: * The Foundation Course (FC) is required for all employees hired after 30 September 2006. This is a DOD Demonstration Project position. Under the Defense Authorization Act, personnel management demonstration programs are operating in numerous Army activities and various other organizations supported by Army civilian personnel centers. Under the streamlined personnel operations for the demonstration projects, the familiar 15 General Schedule grade structure is replaced with broad pay bands that typically encompass a range of grades.
