Duties * Provide overall direction and guidance for the development and implementation of a comprehensive product support strategy for the materiel system throughout the system life cycle. * Establish the goals of the organization by planning, directing, and controlling the allocation and utilization of all authorized resources. * Evaluate the effectiveness of resources and redirects efforts by revising priorities between product support arrangements as necessary to ensure efficient and economical management. * Provide overall direction and guidance for the development of Life Cycle Sustainment Plan (LCSP), system training materials, product support manuals, material release/type classifications, and other programmatic documentation. * Plan, organize, and direct the product support team operations of the functional unit. Provide daily guidance and direction to multi-functional team of product support SME's. This typically includes work performed at the next lower grade/level (NH-03/GS-13) position in the federal service.
