Department Of Defense is Hiring a Program Analyst Near Alexandria, VA

DutiesLeads the development and production of joint strategic oversight plans for designated OCOs and develops recommendations based on analyses of complex OCO related issues.Conducts research and analysis of critical, high-level issues and topics and identifies high risk areas and gaps for potential oversight project proposals.Prepares and provides executive summaries and analytical products and reviews assigned internal and external documents for accuracy and reliability.Prepares component leadership for briefings and meetings or represents senior leaders at meetings.Assists in detailed planning, coordination, and execution of the office of DIG-OCO senior leader and other personnel travel.Requirements Conditions of EmploymentMust be a U.S. Citizen.Position has been designated as Noncritical Sensitive. Incumbent is required to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered or exempt from Selective Service (see http://www.sss.gov).You may be required to complete a financial disclosure (OGE-450).Incumbent is required to submit to urinalysis to screen for illegal drug use prior to appointment and is subject to random drug testing for the duration of service with DoD OIG.Current DoD civilian employees are not required to submit to drug testing if moving from one Testing Designated Position (TDP) to another with no break in service, unless deemed appropriate on a case-by-case basis.The incumbent must adhere to the DoD Standards of Conduct. QualificationsTime in Grade: For entry at the GS-14 level, status applicants must have served 52 weeks as a GS-13 or equivalent or higher grade in the Federal Service.Specialized Experience: For entry at the GS-14 level you must have 52 weeks of specialized experience at the next lower grade level of GS-13 or at an equivalent level. Specialized experience is defined as the ability to: Lead teams performing research, analysis, and management of DoD programs, functions, and operations. Develop and execute project plans. Gather and analyze data to support planning group activities. Develop recommendations and corrective actions. Work with clients, project stakeholders, and participants to improve process efficiencies and effectiveness as it relates the mission.

Paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual, community, student, social) is qualifying. Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience.
Qualification and time-in-grade requirements must be met by the closing date of this announcement.
