Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled Spray Technician to perform pest control, fertilization, and spray applications on our commercial landscape properties. The ideal candidate will have experience in horticulture and agricultural fields with a background in turf and ornamental issues.
Key Qualifications:
  • Certified Pesticide Applicator
  • Knowledge of Best Management Practices (BMP) Certificate preferred
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Knowledge of pesticide, herbicide, and fertilizer products and calibration
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with management, employees, and the public
  • Experience with operating a Z sprayer
  • Ability to work outdoors for extended periods in extreme temperatures and direct sunlight
  • Physical ability to bend, stoop, and twist frequently throughout the day, lift and carry up to 50 lbs, and use hand tools and power equipment
Key Responsibilities:
  • Identify and diagnose turf and ornamental issues and provide effective treatment
  • Apply fertilizers, pesticides, herbicides, and insecticides to lawns, shrubs, and plant material in accordance with industry practices and regulatory requirements
  • Prepare and mix products according to label instructions and use them safely
  • Ensure the safe and proper operation of tools, vehicles, and equipment and adhere to safety standards
  • Maintain cleanliness of vehicle and equipment
  • Keep accurate records of products used and complete all required work order correspondence
  • Retain customers through effective communication and meeting expectations
  • Use hand tools, power tools, and equipment to perform IPM duties
  • Perform other miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
