Denver Public Schools is Hiring a SPECIALIST, FIXED ASSET INVENTORY Near Denver, CO

SPECIALIST, FIXED ASSET INVENTORY (JOB ID: 63474)

Salary Range: $44,518-$53,418

Primary Objective:
Manages tracking of the District's accountable assets (e.g., technology, custodial and kitchen equipment) according to District policy and to maximize asset accountability.

Essential Functions and Objectives:
  • Performs inventory of school assets, disposes of outdated and obsolete technology, and reconciles information in the asset management system.
  • Conducts Annual General Inventory (AGI) and performs centralized bar code labeling and receiving of newly purchased fixed assets in conjunction with the main warehouse.
  • Updates inventory management system and generates District inventory reports.
  • Identifies, researches, and resolves property accountability issues.
  • Travels to District sites to perform inventory control and dispositions property in accordance with property control manual.
  • Prepares documentation and training materials and may conduct asset management workshops for District users.
  • Updates and inputs new asset information into the District asset management system, identifies improvements, and makes recommendations for selection/development/implementation of a new asset management system.
  • Reviews existing property records for exception report reconciliation.
  • Develops fixed asset requirements and ensures existing assets meet the District’s requirements.
  • Responds to questions from users of the asset management system and communicates proper inventory management practices, policy, and guidelines.

Knowledge, Experience & Other Qualifications:

Education Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent required.

Experience Requirements:
2 years of experience in supply, asset, materials management, logistics, or warehouse operations.
Experience in inventory management and with inventory management systems preferred.
