The National Account Manager is responsible for the management and coordination of Group and FIT sales in order to achieve revenue plans while maximizing occupancies and banquet revenues. This position is responsible for identifying opportunities within the Tour & Travel segment and for the development and revenue growth of tour operators and wholesalers. This position will have a strategic focus on not only establishing key partnerships with potential business partners, but also uncovering opportunities with existing partners for the Xanterra Travel Collection portfolio of brands.

Responsibilities
  • Achieve Sales targets for Group and FIT Sales across designated properties.
  • Manage national account relationships, focusing on revenue optimization, especially during shoulder seasons and non-regulated property periods.
  • Manage the group life cycle process. Including the reception of initial requests, inventory allocation, and contract finalization.
  • Collaborate with the Corporate Revenue Management team to determine partner rates for National Account series groups.
  • Assist in developing new itineraries with partners and quote ad-hoc business for National Accounts.
  • Research tour operator websites to assess their itineraries and destinations, identifying potential growth opportunities for Xanterra properties.
  • Monitor partner performance through regular and ad-hoc Delphi.fdc reporting.
  • Act as a liaison between properties and corporate to ensure standards are followed, streamlining the sales process.
  • Identify and onboard new partners onto Siteminder to expand distribution channels and enhance market reach.
  • Vet smaller FIT companies and participate in creating promotion packages to boost off-season business.
  • Resolve billing issues and streamline accounts receivable functions.
  • Explore additional marketing opportunities with partners.
  • Represent Xanterra at sales trade shows.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Negotiation skills to achieve desired outcomes.
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, and Delphi
  • Basic accounting skills

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

  • 8-10 years of experience in hospitality, specifically in Group and/or FIT Sales.
  • Experience in the tourism industry, including tour wholesalers, tour operators, and receptive operators.

QUALIFICATIONS PREFERRED:

  • Degree in Marketing, Business Administration or Hospitality Management
  • Experience working with Delphi.fdc Sales & Catering Software and Opera reservations software

COMPENSATION: The salary range for this position is $80,000.00 - $90,000.00. This position is also eligible for Xanterra's Corporate Incentive Plan.
