Job Overview:

Your position as a Jewelry Sales | Jewelry consultant is to develop strong customer relationships, adding value to our customer’s experience while maximizing sales performance as a fine jewelry expert. You will work to understand and meet the unique needs of each customer by listening, providing sales presentations based on the features and benefits of our products, sketching designs clients desire, clienteling with existing customers for their ongoing fine jewelry desires, closing sales, assisting with business operations, performing inspections and cleaning to maintain the beauty of our guests’ fine jewelry, and providing exceptional service while helping team members do the same. Additionally, you will participate in all aspects of ensuring the store operates efficiently, including but not limited to processing goods, merchandising, e-commerce, answering customer calls, making price changes, setting and signing sales, taking in repairs, processing customer orders, and order fulfillment.

Essential Functions of Position:

· Be proficient in designing, drawing, and sketching jewelry designs for customers and closing sales while assisting customers.

· Be proactive in assisting customers.

· Be proficient or become proficient in the use of the EDGE POS systems.

· Learn and use our e-commerce systems.

· Assist customers in all aspects of service, and qualify customer needs, figure out what's right for them and what they desire.

· Offer to put the purchase on the customer’s charge account.

· Suggest additional merchandise to complement customer selection.

· Maintain a professional attitude with sincerity and enthusiasm demonstrating our commitment to adding value to our customer’s experience.

· Participate in pre-selling and sales-driving events, including trunk shows to maximize sales.

· Stay informed on current promotional events and sales.

· Stay informed on industry trends.

· Offer and promote the benefits of an extended service plan to all customers purchasing Fine jewelry and watches.

· Meets our company sales goals by utilizing appropriate techniques and communicating product knowledge to the customer, recommending merchandise selections, and helping to locate or obtain merchandise based on customer needs and desires.

· Use our systems to maintain customer profiles and contact information to increase personal sales and build a solid customer base.

· Ensure proper processing, presentation, organization, storing, and replenishment of stock.

· Performs various sales and register transactions, including ringing purchases, processing cash or credit payments, and counting money.

· Maintains an awareness of all activity to increase service levels and reduce security risks; remains current on policies regarding payment and exchanges, customer service, security practices, and other applicable operations.

· Maintains knowledge of current sales and promotions; maintains pricing and marketing standards.

· Builds and maintains a solid customer following through building brand loyalty, adding value, and clienteling.

· Perform all aspects of the fulfillment process, including but not limited to picking, packing, labeling, and shipping.

· Ensure that all policies and procedures are implemented and followed.

· Perform other duties as assigned.

· Must be 18 years of age or older.

· High School Diploma or equivalent required

· 4 years of Retail Jewelry sales experience preferred

· Strong interpersonal skills with a proven ability to communicate and share information with diverse groups of customers.

· A minimum of 4 years of jewelry sales or other customer-facing experience is preferred.

Physical Requirements:

· Position requires prolonged periods of standing/walking around the store.

· May involve reaching, crouching, kneeling, stooping, and color vision

· Frequent use of computers and other technology necessary to perform job functions, including handheld equipment, cash register, and ability to process register transactions
