Job Description

The Performance Creative Senior Strategist will support a lead strategist on a select number of accounts and may serve as the lead strategist in some cases. This person will be the connective tissue between brand and customer strategy, creative and enabling technologies that fuel personalization. We’re looking for an independent thinker who is curious and passionate about people, brands, marketing, content, social, digital and technology-enabled creative. You will be expected to tackle big business problems, to question, inspire, and integrate. This is an opportunity for someone with ambition who wants to redefine what it means to be a strategist today and deliver strategies that are unexpected and innovative. You will develop strategic briefs and test approaches, partnering with creative and channel teams to ensure accurate and high-quality execution. You love getting to know clients and being an expert at solving challenges for their business.

Team and Reporting Structure

This role is specifically for a performance creative strategist who will be part of a team of fifteen performance creative strategists and DCO strategists. The team is diverse in experience and expertise and there will be opportunities to work with multiple people on the team.

Responsibilities

Work with other agency functional teams (Analytics, Customer Strategy, Media, Client Services) and act as the coordinator/ integrator between those teams and Dentsu Creative teams.

Responsibilities include:

  • Leading the development of creative test strategies and roadmaps, including coordinating with other agency teams to ensure the sound execution and measurement of test plan recommendations.
  • Utilizing insight tools to develop meaningful audience insights that drive relevance into creative executions.
  • Understanding and organizing client challenges to find solutions that extend the brand through the full-funnel experience and drive better performance.
  • Working with creative teams to translate client challenges into inspiring creative strategies, ensuring the creative is on strategy and aligned with expectations.
  • Operating as a solutions architect, sitting centrally between several Dentsu services (creative, customer strategy, analytics, media, data, research and technology).
  • Working with a diverse team of creative strategists on developing innovative ideas, content programs and enabling technology blueprints.
  • Leading research and pitch development for existing portfolio growth and/or new client opportunities.
  • Potentially serving as a career advocate and/or mentor for junior strategists.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 6 years’ experience in a strategy position.
  • Demonstrated past successes in business-to-consumer marketing.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in business related field preferred.
  • A demonstrated entrepreneurial streak and aptitude for motivating clients, internal teams or other strategists to approach solving marketing challenges in new and better ways.
  • Experience in leading integrated marketing strategies with expertise across all aspects – foundational customer strategy, creative strategy, communications planning, content, social and digital.
  • Knowledge of Dynamic Content Optimization is preferred.
  • Well versed in a wide range of marketing research tools and methodologies – from new ways of leveraging technology to conduct primary research, a deep working knowledge of 3rd party research, secondary research and social listening.
  • A demonstrated fluency and comfort level working with a wide range of agency disciplines including direct mail, media, social, content, UX, analytics and technology.
  • Financial Services experience is preferred.

Additional Information

The anticipated base salary range for this position is $78,000 - $126,500

Salary is based on a variety of factors including relevant experience, knowledge, skills and other factors permitted by law.
