Dental Office in East Columbus is Hiring an Expanded Functions Dental Assistant Near Columbus, OH

Expanded Functions Dental Assistant

Responsibilities:

· Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations

· Provide assistance to dentists during procedures including preparation and documentation.

· Assist with clinical procedures such as: restorations, adaptation of temporary crowns, removing surgical sutures, and applying topical fluoride treatments per state requirements.

· Sterilize and disinfect instruments and equipment

· Take and develop dental x-rays

· Maintain accurate patient records and update dental coding as necessary

· Perform basic laboratory duties such as pouring models and trimming impressions

· Follow infection control protocols to ensure a safe and clean environment

· Educate patients on their treatment plans as well as maintaining their oral health.

· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment possessing excellent interpersonal skills such as establishing positive relationships with our team and patients.

· Ability to communicate professionally both orally and in writing with a service-oriented approach.

EFDA Certification required per state requirements.

§ Radiography licensure for respective state requirements

§ 1-5 years of experience preferred; will consider new graduates.

§ CPR Certification is required.

§ Knowledge of dental charting software and digital x-rays with the ability to learn new programs as necessary.

§ Commitment to providing exceptional service, support, and education to patients.

§ Familiarity with Eaglesoft software for managing patient records

§ Familiarity with dental coding and billing procedures

§ Certification in dental assisting is preferred, but not required.

Experience:

Dental assisting : 3 - 5 years

Job Type: Full-time, Pay: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour

Expected hours: 36 to 40 per week
