Job Description

Dental Assistant Manager

DENTAL EXCELLENCE OF HOLLYWOOD

We are searching for a dental assistant manager to add to our wonderful dental team! Dental assistants should be well organized with great attention to detail. You should be able to follow instructions and respect dental office regulations. We want you to be skilled in providing direct or indirect patient care, and able to make office procedures as smooth as possible.

Responsibilities

· Prepare customers for treatments, assessments, and treatment plans

· Select and set up equipment, instruments, and materials needed

· Sterilize instruments according to regulations

· Assist the dentist using 4 handed dentistry

· Undertake lab tasks in internal lab

· Coordination with all 3rd party labs

· Constant and consistent follow up with labs

· Keep the lab clean, organized, and up to date

· Know the patients proactively, current and future

· Scheduling of patients needed

· Proactive selling, know the treatment plans and talk to the patients about their future work

· Make sure patients are scheduled for future work, coordinate with front desk

· Inventory and order all dental supplies, work with front seat

· Participate in the huddle, know the patients for the next 3 days and talk about their upcoming treatment, opportunities for proactively selling and more

· All clinical notes and tooth charts fully updated each day

· All dental assistant processes

· Train and manage other dental assistants, the doctor’s “right hand”

· Update daily and be able to talk treatment plans with patients

· Proactively prepare action plans

· Good communication with front desk on appointments, scheduling, insurance, payments, etc.

· Deliver Team White Glove Service to patients

· Leadership with dental assistants and in office

· The practice culture is one of complete and comprehensive care customized for each patient for the long-term. Positive vibes with teamwork.

· Problem solver

· Enthusiastic and energetic

· Organized, detail oriented and can multi task

· Knowledge and experience in all dental instruments, the use, sterilization, and safety of them

· Excellent people skills, including hospitality and white glove service for the patients

· Reliable, dependable, and committed

· No shortcuts, “leave it all on the field”

· 5 or more years experience as Dental Assistant, with at least 2 years as lead, senior, or manager dental assistant.

· Need x-ray certification

· Dentrix experience strongly recommended
