Responsibilities
•Talk to patients and make sure they feel comfortable and taken care of before, during, and after the examination
•Conduct initial screenings for patients to understand their oral health history
•Educate patients of all ages on how to take care of their teeth through good flossing and brushing twice daily
•Work with dentists to decide the best form of treatment for a variety of dental disease
•Make impressions of patients' teeth to ensure their mouthguards, dentures, etc. are made correctly
Qualifications
•Associate's degree and certification in dental hygiene program required, higher levels of education are highly valued
•Has dental hygienist licensure in the state where the job is located
•Current CPR certification
