JOB TYPE: Full-Time Permanent
Reports To: The Fit, Stain & Glaze Technician will report to the Fit, Stain, & Glaze supervisor
Job Overview:
The Fit, Stain, & Glaze Technician is responsible for providing fit/finish of crowns prior to moving the crowns to the ceramists.
A successful Fit, Stain, & Glaze Technician has great attention to detail. Proficiency crowns, bridges, and implant abutments.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Review prescription and supporting documents.
- Fit crowns to die.
- Fit crowns on models by adjusting the mesial and distal contacts.
- Adjust models to ensure accuracy of articulation and bite.
- Adjust occlusal and incisal clearance or if reduction coping is required.
- Keep work area clean and organized.
- Willing to advance his/her skill set and knowledge in order to grow with the company.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Advanced knowledge in dental anatomy and terminology is a plus.
- Experience in a dental laboratory is a plus.
- Ability to read cursive writing.
- Must have computer skills.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced work environment.
- Critical thinking.
- Communication skills, as you will be working with technicians and doctors to produce a
high-quality restoration.
- Organization as it relates to case management.
