Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Dental Assistant to join our team. As a Dental Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing quality dental care to our patients. Your responsibilities will include assisting the dentist during procedures, taking patient x-rays, maintaining medical documentation, and ensuring a clean and sterile environment.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the dentist during dental procedures
- Take and develop patient x-rays
- Prepare treatment rooms for procedures
- Sterilize and maintain dental instruments and equipment
- Provide chairside assistance to the dentist
- Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-operative care
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records
- Perform basic administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and managing patient records
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Dental Assistant or relevant certification in North Dakota
- Knowledge of dental procedures, instruments, and terminology
- Familiarity with medical documentation and recordkeeping
- Proficiency in using EagleSoft and Dexis dental software systems (e.g., Epic)
- Strong understanding of anatomy and oral health
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask
- Knowledge of aseptic techniques and infection control protocols
- Basic knowledge of taking vital signs (blood pressure, pulse, etc.)
- Ability to assist with patient assessment
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with digital radiography systems
- Expanded functions certification
