Dental Care Alliance is Hiring a Billing clerk Near Plantation, FL
Overview
We are currently looking for a part time Dental Billing Clerk for our office located in Sunrise, FL. This position is responsible to post payments, prior authorizations, walkouts, submit claims, follow up on outstanding claims, collections.
The hours are : M,T, & Th 8 : 00-5 : 00
Responsibilities
Maintains financial records and prepares monthly accounting reports. Performs reception duties when scheduled
- Collects and organizes patient biographical data for input and checks that necessary information regarding address, phone, employer, responsible party and insurance are available
- Monitors returned bills as an indicator of incorrect address and attempts to obtain proper information on patients
- Enters cash payments, check payments, Visa / MC and deposit transfers, makes adjustments, and prepares the daily deposit
- Calculates receivables and prepares monthly financial report. Records the charges, payments, and adjustments
Qualifications
- 1 - 2 years' of experience working with dental or medical insurance billing
- Strong knowledge of dental insurance, preferred
- Full knowledge of sending / posting dental insurance claims (general / specialty)
- Excellent phone skills
- Superior customer service skills
