Description

Position Overview:

As a key member of our finance team, the Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Analyst will play a critical role in supporting our Dental Service Organization's growth and strategic objectives. This position is designed for a detail-oriented, analytical, and strategically-minded individual with a passion for finance and the dental healthcare industry. The FP&A Analyst will be instrumental in budgeting, forecasting, and analyzing financial performance, as well as supporting the M&A (Mergers & Acquisitions) process to drive our expansion and success.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Planning and Analysis:

  • Develop and maintain financial models to support the organization's strategic initiatives, including budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning processes.
  • Analyze financial data and performance indicators to identify trends, opportunities for improvement, and areas of concern.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for senior management, highlighting key financial and operational metrics.

M&A Support:

  • Assist in the due diligence process for potential acquisition targets, including financial analysis, valuation, and risk assessment.
  • Support the integration of acquired entities from a financial perspective, ensuring smooth transitions and alignment with our organization's financial practices and objectives.
  • Collaborate with external advisors and internal teams during the M&A process to facilitate deal execution and post-merger integration.

Strategic Initiatives:

  • Participate in the evaluation of strategic initiatives, including new market entries, service line expansions, and capital investments.
  • Conduct competitor and market analysis to inform strategic decisions and position the organization for competitive advantage.

Operational Support:

  • Work closely with operational leaders to understand financial impacts of operational decisions and identify opportunities for financial optimization.
  • Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to drive operational efficiencies and financial performance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
  • 2-5 years of experience in financial planning & analysis, investment banking, consulting, or a related field. Experience in the healthcare or dental industry is a plus.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and financial modeling; familiarity with financial software and ERP systems.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across teams and with senior management.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proven track record in supporting M&A activities, from due diligence to post-merger integration, is highly desirable
