Denny's - RREMC is Hiring a Cook Near Not Specified,

We pride ourselves on the culinary creations served from Denny's kitchen, and are looking for candidates with a passion for cooking. The ideal candidate should have cooking experience, enjoys working in a busy family restaurant environment and is capable of following direction and can multi-task effectively.

We offer full time and part time positions with competitive wages starting at $12.50 up to $15.00 if you have cooking experience and a comprehensive benefit program that includes 401k and vacation time. We follow all COVID 19 safety guidelines as established by CDC.

Cook Job Description

  • Measure and assemble ingredients for menu items
  • Collaborate with Management to prepare meals during dining hours
  • Maintain accurate food inventories
  • Properly store food items at appropriate temperatures
  • Rotate stock items as per established procedures
  • Restock kitchen for subsequent shifts
  • Ensure that the food prep area and kitchen are cleaned and sanitized at the end of shift

Cook qualifications and skills

  • At least 1-year experience as a Cook in a family style restaurant industry
  • Able to read and follow standardized recipes
  • Strong knowledge of proper food handling procedures
  • Able to work as part of a team in a busy kitchen atmosphere
  • ServeSafe Certification preferred but not required.
