Job Description - Maintenance Tech – 2nd and 3rd Shift

· Hourly range - $17h-$25h (Depending on proven on-site skills assessment)

We are looking for a dependable Maintenance Tech that can assist with all installation, repair, and upkeep operations of the company’s facilities, owned and managed. Experience needed in operating and maintaining floor scrubber and floor sweeper.

2nd and 3rd Shift – Experience required in operating:

A floor scrubber is an industrial cleaning machine that uses water to scrub the floor. A floor sweeper is an industrial cleaning machine that sweeps debris into a hopper using a center-mounted brush. Sweepers typically use filtered air to control airborne dust particles. A sweeper-scrubber machine combines the two and can sweep and scrub the floor in one pass. This work will be required inside of parking garages in downtown Indianapolis, not on indoor tile surfaces.

A great maintenance tech will have a good understanding of plumbing and electrical systems as well as carpentry and other crafts, regarding parking garages, surface lots, and commercial buildings. They will have a good understanding of all maintenance processes and health and safety regulations.

The goal is to assist and ensure the company facilities, owned and managed, are well-cared for and adequate to support the company’s business operations.

Responsibilities

· Keep maintenance logs and report on daily activities

· Performing minor on-site repairs

· Discussing maintenance concerns with the employer and communicating these to maintenance workers

· At times, on-call and responding to emergency maintenance needs

· Assisting with controlling and monitoring inventory

· Independence on job site review without supervision

Requirements and skills

· Proven experience as maintenance tech

· A minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in maintenance

· Good understanding of technical aspects of plumbing, carpentry, electrical systems, snow removal with snowplow, forklift, sweep and scrub machines, power washing, small engine repair, etc.

· Working knowledge of facilities machines, vehicles, and equipment (Silverado 2500’s, snowplows, street cleaners, scrubbers, etc.)

· Ability to keep track of and report on activity

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

· Outstanding organizational and leadership abilities

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $17.00 - $25.00 per hour
