While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; sit; and use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to sit. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch and crawl.
The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 lbs and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
Essential Functions:
- Develop and program CMM Programs using computers or company’s part specifications in an accurate, timely and efficient manner using Polyworks
- Determine part inspection requirements from customer’s blueprint
- Create inspection-path programs for fixed type CMM
- Insure the part-inspection programs are consistent with part number and revision level
- Administer and/or edit previously created programs
- Operate and quality any type of CMM equipment as required, including Laser Scanning processes
- Verify the operator’s set-up is suitable, the machine is calibrated and is operational
- Daily operation of computer-programming hardware and software systems
- Responsible for ensuring that AS9000, ISO 9001, and QS9000 are implemented and adhered to in your area
- Analyze and troubleshoot fixed-type machine setups and inspection paths
- Interact with suppliers for the faults encounter or enhancement of program
- Interact with customers and team members, both in person and via email
- Perform any and all other job related tasks as assigned
Must have the ability to -
- Read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures and/or government regulations
- Write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals
- Effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers and the general public
- Proficient in reading/interpreting engineering drawings (blueprints)
Must have the ability to -
- Work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry
Must have the ability to -
- Define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions
- Interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables
